DMP Example
A digital matte artist, or digital matte painter, is today's modern form of a traditional matte painter in the entertainment industry. He or she digitally paints photo-realistic interior and exterior environments that could not have been otherwise created or visited. For this task i had to merge the images to make it look like the house was a part of the mountains i started by quick selecting the house and putting on anther layer mask changing the hue and saturation and the brightness so it all fits .
Chernobyl Project

The task was to create Chernobyl before the nuclear explosion in the winter that was to used for the HBO Chernobyl show in there title sequence. i stared to gather images of nuclear sites and what the nuclear plant looked like before the explosion i was also looking for a image with a large foreground so i could add other images to create this i used the DMP method of quick select and masking layers in photoshop added smoke and cars from that time period to help show that it was 1985 just before the incident, to create that winter feel i adjusted the hue and situation as-well as the levels for the everything except the background sky what helped with this was the reference colour wheel from there i exported the images on separate layers as tiffs so they could be imported in nuke .

The assignment was to create an abounded place thats been left for 28 days based on 28 days later the movie the movie is about a group of animal rights activists free a caged chimp infected with the "Rage" virus from a medical research lab. When London bike courier Jim wakes up from a coma a month after, he finds his city all but deserted. On the run from the zombie-like victims of the Rage. The footage from the brief had people walking past i had to remove i deiced to do this in a different way by taking the last frame of the video as a still and use photoshop instead of using nuke, when in photoshop used the deform and perspective to line up with the walls to create a new image.I will be using nuke to recreate the camera movement of the briefs original video one other tequence that i will be trying to use is instead of cards in nuke bringing in a shape e.g recreating the wall then putting the images in that way this will help the layering and have a more 3D look
The Compositors primary function is to seamlessly integrate all the layers or elements of a shot, including live-action and computer graphic elements, and work closely with Visual Effects Supervisors and CG Supervisors to composite the numerous elements that complete a visual effects shot.

Snow Globe
This idea is using the drone shot that was giving with the brief but having the hole house in a snow globe when it zooms out i would do this by making the globe in maya and warp the sky to give that effect i would add to the buildings with a mixture of environmental effects for adding the snow/wind and change the colour pallet. the type of advert this could be for is amazon,very,Argos i feel its the best fit for what the sell.
3D Village/ Drone shot
To recreate the shot and 3d model the city and create a winter village with a combination of environmental effects this style will show my modeling and textures skills.The third idea will be to use the drone shot but add buildings to make it seem as if the house is within the north pole with an animated sequence of santa on his sleigh flying over but just the silhouette this will have a better effect because i will be adding a large moon with a glow that will be projected giving the blue effect of the north pole

This Christmas advert assignment my original idea was to use the footage that was given from the brief but I thought it be more creative to create the snow globe idea that I had I originally started to create cabins to the retreat the North Pole by decided to just use only one so I can add more detail I then went to create that the surface I done that by map displacement from there I create a layer flooded the colour Then went into 3-D Pant to Mountain to look realistic From there I already had the snow globe I added the snow particles in above so when I look a the shot I creates that heavy snow effect.l
